Machine Quilting & Fiber Art Workshops
Debbi Trevino is an expert machine quilter and quilting instructor. Her love of teaching is evident when one participates in her classes. She has a vast knowledge of machine quilting on a variety of longarm machines. Debbi has been an instructor on an annual basis at a number of international quilt shows. She has appearaed on Quilt Central Television in Paducah, KY. She also teaches annually at MQX (Machine Quilters’ Expo), and at the HQMS Home Machine Quilting Show in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Debbi is the owner and president of Village Quiltworks, Inc. - a full service quilt shop located in Richland, Washington. She is a sought after business and industry consultant, offering training and motivation for sales reps as well as shop owners.

Introduction to Longarm Quilting

All day workshop to introduce students to the world of longarm machine quilting. Learn all about industrial machines, maintenance, battings, running a business, etc. Limited hands on sewing. Debbi will share with you tips for success in your quilting venture$165.00 us. per person. Five hour workshop/lunch included. Call to schedule.


Beginning Longarm Quilting Workshop

A full day of gaining confidence in longarm quilting! You will learn about your machine and everything in between. From how to choose quilting patterns to selecting the right threads, and many tips and tricks of the trade. Hands on quilting. $450.00 us. Six Hour Workshop (On site and Off-site teaching).

Advanced Longarm Quilting Workshop
You know how to run your machine but now you want to learn some fun, creative designs to do on your longarm. Learn about thread play, garment embellishments, feather designs, trapunto, etc. Lots of fun in this class $550.00 us. This class is offered on-site as well as to local guilds, shows, etc.


Exploring the World of Battings
How do you know what battings to choose? Will they beard, lose their shape, or shrink? What is the benefit of a scrim? Your quilted projects look nice when you finish quilting, but what will happen the first time it is washed? Debbi will teach you all about battings and their best applications in this fun and exciting workshop. Learn everything from cotton to corn battings. You will be more knowledgeable when choosing that perfect batting for your next project. Door prizes. Informative handouts provided. 2 Hour Presentation $350

Floating Applique
This unique technique that Debbi has perfected on the Longarm machine is offered to Longarm Machine Quilters or Domestic machine quilters. She currently has one of her art quilt pieces traveling the country in the Artful Deck Collection. Using a combination of cotton, silk, wool, suede, etc. your fabrics will sing. Embellishments of threads and beads just add the finishing touch. Students will be constructing a small art quilt wallhanging. One Day Workshop $550

Breakfast at Tiffany's
Did you know you could create jewelry on the longarm? Debbi will inspire you with techniques to create your own custom jewelry pieces out of fiber. Starting with the longarm machine and an assortment of tools and mediums, you will begin to see how creativity and thread bring forth unique fiber creations 2 Hour Presentation $350 or 4 Hands on $550.00


Weave Away
Cut, Weave, Fuse and Quilt. No seams, no corners or points to match. In this basic fabric weaving class you will learn simple construction methods and alternative "stitch in the ditch" methods. We will be sharing embellishment ideas as well for the final touches. You won't believe how easy it is to make this stunning wall hanging. Domestic or Longarm Machines. 4 Hour Hands On $550

Playing with Petals Wall Hanging

From start to finish, you will construct this beautiful, silk petal hydrangea wallhanging. We will apply the petals, borders and binding all by machine and you will walk away with this studding wall hanging. 2 Hour Presentation $350


Working with Colors
Sometimes color theory can be overwhelming and confusing. Debbi will teach you about colors, about using a unique color wheel and set you off ready to compose your next award winning quilt Two Hour Presentation - $350

Quilting the Whole Cloth - Garden Variety
Make a work of art out of your fabric and threads, using the longarm machine. Inspiring ideas form as we go through the process of designing our fabric, color, thread usage, etc. All that is reuired is for the student is to bring fabric and threads and a few supplies $550.00 us. Six Hour Workshop. (On site and Off-site teaching)

You've Been "Foiled"!
But don't be fooled - this is a fun and unique technique to apply sparkle to your quilts and fiber art pieces without the mess. Learn to embellish with acid free foils for garmets, quilts, stretchy fibers and quilt labels. Examples of different techniques and tools will be discussed and demonstrated 2 Hour Presentation $350

Profiting in Your Business
Ok, you bought your new quilting machine and now your wondering how you are going to make money. Quilting is one obvious money maker, but Debbi wants to show you how you can increase your profits by offering unique customer services tips, custom label making and additional money making opportunities that you may be missing. You will have customers returning to you for their future quilting needs. 2 Hour Presentation $350

Leaves are Swirling all Around
Mother Nature is a great teacher, but Debbi takes this opportunity to show you how to use what's in nature to inspire what you might quilt. Leaves can go in a guilt and be complimentary, so let's learn how we can quilt leaves in a multitude of ways. Different shapes, sizes and layouts will be offered.
